transcent 1. the passing of thrones

What can we say? It's a warm winter night
Somewhere someone's dog is still howling her rite
Growling and slipping on cold marble floors
There are no lions left here to roar

Would you tell me your truths?
Would you let your tongue loose?
There's a wind blowing, but we can't feel it
There's a sword in the screen, but don't trust it
The world has gone hollow and slow

By the gate there's a system of liars and cheats
With their heads all grown heavy with mold
By the window I'll sit here, just counting the seasons
And watching the passing of thrones.
