Labyrinth of raving fears on a shipwrecking shoal
Our coral is red steel with black powder swirls
And the sails are woven from the twisted reams
Of your parents' parents darkest dreams
Breaking waves under moonlight and wells
Reflected in the tidal swells and dewy dells
Where the people are sounding their death knells
And reeling alongside an ocean of dead grass
An ocean of white glass
It is the unreal you cannot defend
It is the unreal you will not repel
You will never be free of everything
You keep up behind your eyes
It's of infinite size
The pealing of wind chimes
Echoes through the waves
Reaching the ears of those toiling slaves
'Till the day they go to sleep in their graves
So scattered along the escarpment of
Azure trails, leering Erebus rails:
"You'll not escape this garden of tears
So bleed your mind dry."

Your ancestors have fucked you. Causality insists that you are little more than the product of your circumstances and surroundings. Erebus is a little-known, little-spoken-of god of darkness.
